Noodle & Nasi Lemak, Alor Street

Nasi lemak!
One of the most appetizing street goodies you could find in Malaysia!
This is a good one that I ate in Alor.

Noodle soup..
A thing you could also find in almost every street of KL..

Warm barley..
Taste like soya milk..haha

Good fishcakes and fishballs for the noodle's accompaniment.

The Lao Pan..hahaha

They are all cheap.
Cost around 4-6RM per portion.

Other Alor Street Goodies =)

I've spent 5 days in KL.
Well in Alor especially and this is other goods you could find in Alor..
hohoho..
Yumm..yumm..

Below, is Ice Cincau.
You could find it in Indonesia but this one is one of the best Ice Cincau I've ever tried.
Aromatic, but not to strong with nice tangy cincau thinly shredded..^ ^

Street Pao!
They open their stall at 9pm..
Soo..
It could be classified as supper super snack.
Nice. No diet here..
They have many variations anyway..
Lotus seed, charsiew, kaya..etc..

This one is Air Mata Kucing.
personally, the name really attracted my eyes so I decided to buy..hahha..
It's actually Lo Han Kuo.

Satay Celup..
Hmm..
Sounds weird.
For anyone who doesn't have any idea of what this is.
This is actually an ordinary satay with the peanut sauce, but instead of grilling the meat, the boil it in boiling water..^ ^
So they got big pan of boiling water and another pan of boiling peanut sauce and they put the raw ingridients on the side. We should just take what we want, cook it, eat it, and pay it.
There are chicken satay, crab, fish, seafood, hmm..

Sugarcane and Young Coconut stall..

Noodle stall which I visitted on the previous post..

Yea..this is Alor street..
Food..food..and food..

Last and the best, DURIAN!!
I'll never go home from KL without eating their famous durian.
This durian is just perfect.
Not too thick but really sweet and tasty..
I just couldn't resist the velvety texture of the succulent meat.
But, it's pricey..
18RM times 3000 rups is 54.000 and it's small..T.T

I've no longer in Alor but these memories will always be in my heart..
Wakakakakakkakk...
Romantic enough?

I'll give :

9 out of 10 rating for Alor + 4,5 thumbs up!!

Indian Food at Alor

This part is when I was left alone in the hotel room when my fam went to a Driving Range to do some driving..
I watch TV..
More film ... more film ...
AARGGHHH!!!! I need some nice little treat!!!
.
So..
I went to Alor just to explore some street goodies there :)

What I found was a street Indian Food!!
Yumm.. Fate led me directly to good food.. ^ ^

For who don't know what's the stall's like about, it's like a small stall with several tables for people to eat. The foods were already cooked and we just have to choose whichever we like and EAT.

I chose a Mutton Curry, Potato Curry, some pickles for the accompaniment, and rice off course.
4,5 RM

The Mutton Curry was so thick and flavourful. Spicy, but not hot. The mutton was tender and it's gamey flavour was really giving it a kick. All the spices harmonized really well to make such a delicious curry which we could only find in Indian Food.
The potato curry was also good, similar to the usual Padang Curry..haha..
The pickles tasted sour and a bit salty with a touch of sweetness. It was a great accompaniment that it refreshed and cleaned our palette after indulging the thick and rich curry with the gamey flavor of the mutton.

My Rating : 8,5 out of 10

Street Pancakes! - Phuket street

Street pancake is one thing you'll always find in every street in Phuket and they DO attract so many tourist to buy it, especially westerners coz maybe they find it quite unique.
So basically, this pancake is really similar to Martabak Telur in Indonesia only that they fill it with sweet things or Apple Strudel's skin filled with choco rice, jams, cheese, etc..
Do they taste good?
Well off course! There is no way sweet things can't be not nice..hahaha..
So,take a look at pictures below =)

My Rating : 8 out of 10..hoho..
